All his many fans will be very sad to hear that Chico (Orfebre) went acutely lame in his right fore a few weeks ago during a training session. A subsequent scan at Willesley shows a massive tear to the sesamoid ligament. He will be on box rest for a long time, and the prognosis is not that good. I know that you will all be hoping, as I am, that he will make sufficient recovery to come back to some sort of work, but I fear that my dream of coming down the centre line in a Grand prix with him is shattered. Ten years of training, and he did manage to learn all of the requirements, so he has been a great servant and I will do everything possible to make him comfortable.
He is not the best patient, so lets hope the time passes quickly!

Fulminante-Cen Success!
Fulminante-Cen (Anthony) gave a fantastic display at the PSHP Stallion Event, showing that he has a fabulous trot, it was noticed by several serious breeders and judges, well done Anthony! He has also been winning again, gaining just under 70% in the Medium Open at Kingston Maurward. He is now part qualified for the Regionals, he just missed completing it last Sunday when he was placed second in the qualifier. However, he did gain his qualification to the Freestyle Medium Semi Finals.
He will now start at Advanced Medium, he has one outing in April, I feel he is ready. The changes are so much stronger and secure, his half passes are more flowing and his balance is improving all the time.
He has a few potential mare owners visiting in the next few weeks, so he will be on his best behaviour!

Centauro Back in Action!
At long last, Centauro is back in work, and so far so good. We are just about ready to start proper training again, he is getting fitter and now gets a little turnout each day as well. Not sure when he will be ready to compete, but will look around for some advanced mediums for him towards the end of April/beginning of May. As we did not clip him after October when he had his op, the winter coat is now falling out everywhere, can't wait till the summer coat is through! But it is just great to have him back in work.
